Dr. Stein established his private practice in the Fort Bend
County area of Texas in 1983 where he has
continued to provide the highest level of quality
medical care with an emphasis on the importance
of communication and personal attention to
patient concerns and questions.

Stanley H. Stein, MD
Dr. Stein is a graduate of the University of
Arkansas School of Medicine, receiving his
medical degree in 1977. He served an Internship
and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Tulane
University School of Medicine from 1977 until
1980. This included service at Charity Hospital
in New Orleans, the New Orleans Veterans
Administration Medical Center, Touro Infirmary
and the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital. Dr.
Stein then completed a fellowship in
gastroenterology at the University of Texas
Health Science Center in Houston, training at
Hermann Hospital and MD Anderson where he later
served as a staff gastroenterologist.

Marsha
For over 28 years Marsha has served as Practice
Administrator for Dr. Stein. In this role,
Marsha has been instrumental in developing and
updating office policies and procedures, been
responsible for financial oversight of the
practice and served as supervisor for the
clerical and medical staff. She is shares the
position of HIPAA Compliance Officer and
reviews claims reimbursement for accuracy,
filing appeals to Insurance plans and Texas
Department of Insurance when necessary. Marsha
holds a Masters degree in Social Work and was
previously employed by the Social Service
Department at Memorial Hermann Hospital on the
Renal Transplant Team.

Regina
Regina has been a member of our staff since 2000
and currently serves as our Insurance Specialist.
Regina received her CMIS (Certified Medical
Insurance Specialist) certification in 2002 and
annually attends educational seminars on coding
and insurance processing topics to maintain this
certification. In her role of Insurance
Specialist, Regina interfaces with our patients'
insurance companies to obtain pre- certification
for procedures and diagnostic testing, enters
charges insuring that all coding is correct,
submits claims to insurers and follows up on
unpaid or improperly reimbursed claims. Regina
also reviews and facilitates requests for medical
records by insurance companies and for disability
applications, insuring that all transactions
relating to release of medical records are HIPAA
compliant.

Shreya
Shreya has served as Dr. Stein' s Medical
Assistant since 1999. She is a registered Medical
Assistant and assists Dr. Stein in the back
office in addition to interfacing with hospitals
and surgery centers to schedule diagnostic
testing and obtain results. Shreya devotes an
equal amount of time to patient education and
coordination. Shreya handles refill requests from
patients and pharmacies and Dr. Stein frequently
relies on her to communicate test results and
explain treatment recommendations with his
patients. Shreya also serves as the OSHA officer
for our office, which involves keeping current
with governmental safety regulations and insuring
that our office is in compliance.

Tina
For over 17 years as our Front Desk receptionist
and patient coordinator, Tina has welcomed
patients as they enter our office. She is the
first contact a patient has when visiting our
office and is frequently the first person with
whom they speak when calling in to the office.
Tina's position frequently involves verifying
insurance coverage, supervising chart flow
between departments within the office,
appointment and diagnostic scheduling in addition
to inventory management. Tina is the HIPAA
officer for our office and in this role she
insures that our office is in compliance with all
laws relating to the privacy of patient
information and recordkeeping.

Yvonne
Yvonne joined our office staff in 1987 as an
insurance clerk. She is currently our Office
Manager and is responsible for overseeing claims
processing, billing, patient recall reminders,
computer maintenance and upgrades as well as
co-management of patient accounts and accounting.
Yvonne attends annual seminars to update her
knowledge of coding for insurance processing. She
earned her CMIS (Certified Medical Insurance
Specialist) certification in 1999 and maintains
this certification each year by attending
educational presentations to earn CME
credit.

Jackie
Jackie serves as our Check Out Receptionist whose
many responsibilities are related to patient
coordination, diagnostic appointment scheduling,
reception and insurance verification. The responsibilities of Jackie also include providing patients
with cost estimates for procedures and managing
telephone communications.

Anna
Anna is our Insurance Clerk who manages the majority of our Insurance Verifications/Communications for patients coming to our office. She also is available to serve as backup for our Front Desk and Checkout receptionists.
